BUILDING ‘INCLUSIVE’ CLASSROOMS

‘Samaaveshi Pathshaala’ is an early-stage nonprofit working on inclusive education in Karjat tribal block of Maharashtra, founded in 2018 by two graduates of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Through an integrated approach that comprises an inclusive school, a community library, and a teacher-training and transformation programme (with 1 Zilla Parishad school & 80 Anganwadis), we aim to build ‘an ecosystem of inclusive education’ where all stakeholders (schools, teachers and the community) believe in the idea of inclusion, and have necessary skills and resources to build inclusive classrooms where all children with and without disabilities study together. Please support our work. (All donations are exempted under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961.)
