BUILDING 'INCLUSIVE' CLASSROOMS
'Samaaveshi Pathshaala' is an early-stage nonprofit working on inclusive education in Karjat tribal block of Maharashtra, founded in 2018 by two graduates of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Through an integrated approach that comprises an inclusive kindergarten, a community library (disability resource centre), and a teacher-training and transformation programme with 2 Zilla Parishad (ZP) primary schools & 3 Anganwadis, we are striving to build 'an ecosystem of inclusive education' in Kashele gram panchayat (Karjat) where all key stakeholders believe in the idea of inclusion, and have necessary skills and resources to build 'inclusive classrooms' which encourages all children with and without disabilities to study together. Please support our work. (All donations are exempted under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961.)
