Welcome to 'Samaaveshi Pathshaala'

One day, all schools will become 'inclusive'.

We are a registered nonprofit based in Karjat tribal block of Maharashtra, founded by two graduates of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Our mandate is to build an inclusive society: a society for all where no one is left behind and everyone gets equal opportunity to excel in life. And the journey to build an inclusive society starts from an inclusive classroom.

Our Major Programmes

Inclusive Kindergarten Programme

Inclusive, Community Library

Digital Literacy Programme

Inclusive 'Anganwadi' Transformation

Our Motto

All children irrespective of their social backgrounds and disabilities should have equal access and opportunity to quality education.

What have we achieved so far?

Our flagship programme is an inclusive school situated in Kashele village, where 15 children aged 4-6 years - most of them from tribal backgrounds - including six children with disabilities study together in the same classroom - using multi-sensory learning approach.

In June 2019, we started an 'inclusive, community library' for primary children from tribal villages around Kashele. Through library-centred events, we aim to improve literacy and life skills among children with and without disabilities, and build an ecosystem on inclusive education.

In July 2019, we began 'Inclusive Digital Literacy Programme', to provide inclusive skilling opportunities for local tribal youth in Karjat block. The month-long course imparts basic computer and digital literacy skills with a focus on women and persons with disabilities.

In August 2019, we launched 'Inclusive Anganwadi Program', in collaboration with TISS Mumbai - to transform 10 Anganwadis in Karjat. We aim to train teachers in inclusive teaching skills using digital tech, and set-up 10 'mini-libraries' to impact early education of 500 rural children.
